TO CORRESPONDENTS.

We have to acknowledge the receipt of some excellent verses from Centaur, as well as from another friend ; but both of them are too long for our present publication ; we hope, however, to be able soon to give these happy effusions of the Maori Muse, the publicity which they deserve. If our poetical friends could confine their inspirations within smaller limits, we should have less difficulty in finding room for them. We have to acknowledge the gift of Mr. Terry's New Publication, on which we shall as soon as possible, take opportunity of making some observations. We have received a letter regarding some land job between the Acting Governor and Mr. Moore, Printer, but until we know more of the facts we defer the publication.
