BUSY NEW BUREAU
Karitane Nurses Booked Months Ahead
Nurses who have registered at the Karitane Nurses' Bureau, now in operation for almost, two weeks, are mostly booked for cases two to three months ahead. Mothers needing nurses for 1946 are fairly easily accommodated. However, it is most difficult and ahnowt impossible to find nurses to take urgent cases at days or even a few weeks' notice. It is therefore advised that mothers requiring nurses contact Miss Findlay as early as possible. The National Service Regulations require that no nurse remain at a case for longer than four weeks unless the doctor or Blanket nurse advise otherwise. Cooperation in this respect on the part of mothers would greatly assist in a wider distribution of the services of the nurses. Karitane Nurse M. Findlpv is in charge of the. bureau. 18 Kent Terrace, which is a new venture, covering the Marlborough. Nelson. Wairarnpa am! coastal districts up to and including Levin, and promises to prove useful to mothers.
