Japanese Designers’ Claim (Received October 28, 7 P-m.) TOKIO, October 27. Japanese aircraft designers claim that they perfected a 10,000-mile range reconnaissance plane, two of which were built. In a test one was flown 10,300 miles over Manchuria." The other was shot down flying from Shanghai to Germany. It was proposed to mass produce a modified version with a 5G50-milo range and substantial carrying capacity. Three of these were completed for observation flights over America. The designers claim that they perfected a jet-propelled fighter able to climb 32,500 feet in three and n-half minutes for defence against Super Fortresses. _____
