Retention In Britain (Received October 25, 11 p.m.) LONDON, October 25. The Ministry of Food, which came into existence in April, 1940, was to be continued, said Lord Addison in the House of Lords. He hoped the country would become accustomed to regard the existence of the Ministry as an essential and necessary part of the national economy. The “Daily Express’’ says the Food Ministry is sponsoring an expedition costing £750,009, including three whaling factories, which will leave next week for the Antarctic to procure an increase in Britain’s margarine ration next year. It is hoped to collect thousands of tons of whale oil. Any resulting surplus fats will go to help liberated Europe, Radar will be fitted for the first time in the Antarctic to the ships to warn against icebergs. ___________
