MOTOR CAMP AT PARAPARAUMU
Wellington A.A. To Spend £12,000 I’robably £12,000 or more would be spent by the association on the establishment of the motor camp at I’araparatimu, said Mr. E. A. Batt, chairman of the Automobile Association (Wellington), at the annual meeting last night. Mr. Batt sa|d it was intended to make the camp the finest in New Zealand Most camps of that type were run by private individuals on a profit-making basis. A number of huts were to be erected, said Mr. Batt, and they would be adequately equipped . and serviced. The situation, near one of the most popular beaches in the district, was probably the best possible. It was intended to clear a recreation ground alongside the camp where tennis courts could be laid out and a play area with merry-go-rounds and such-like established for the children
