Sale Of Liquor During VJ Celebrations The indiscriminalc salt' of liquor by "Wellington licensees during the V.f celebrations and the danger tints constituted was thy subject of a report submitted by the Police Department at the quarterly meeting of the Wellington Licensing Committee. The chairman, Mr. Stout, S.M.. said the police report drew attention to indiscriminate sales by licensees during this period of bottles of liquor which were openly consumed on the streets by both young and old. The bottles were afterward thrown on the streets, many being broken and thereby becoming a danger to pedestrians and motor vehicles. Many ’teen-aged persons were seen under the influence of liquor resulting from this uncontrolled sale of intoxicants, and the authorities responsible for law and order on the two days concern' d received no assistance from the licensees ->f Wellington hotels.
