U.S. Official’s Comment (Received August 29, 8.40 p.m.) BUENOS AIRE'S August 28. Mr. Spruille Braden, American Ambassador to the Argentine, who has been appointed Assistant-Secretary of State in charge of Latin American Affairs, says that when he goes to Washington he intends to continue the task he has been discharging in Buenos Aires. He added that the voice of liberty was making itself heard in Argentina and he did not believe anyone would be able to smother it. Mr. Braden made it clear that he believes there is no possibility of establishing normal relations between the United States and the Argentine military regime. He gave the Pcron Government lo understand that he considers them partisans, accomplices and cloaks of the defeated Axis Powers, and that they must Im punished with the oilier Axis satellites.
