King Peter Withdraws Authority LONDON. August 8. Within 2-1 hours of Marshal Tito'* demand for the abolition of the Yugoslav Monarchy. King Peter has issued a proclamation to his people withdrawing his authority from the three Regents appointed after the crisis last March. King Peter's proclamation said: '•Yesterday's speech by Marshal Tito is a final repudiation of the agreement concluded between Marshal Tito and Dr. Subnsic. Not mir (danse in I hi; agreement made with Marshal Tito has been fiillilled in Yugoslavia, but disregarded by Marshal Tito's Government. 1 consider ihat the Regents have not been allowed to perform my . constitutional duties. They have overlooked the oaths of obligation they gave me, and I hereby proclaim flint they can no longer rcpri'scnl me or work in my name. ‘•There exists in my country a fullscale dictatorship of the Tito regime. Every I race of law has been wiped out from Hie Stale organization, (bus entirely removing the free will lof the people. One voice only is heard, that of Marshal Tito and his tolnlilnrinu government.
