Combined Hunt Meeting At Timaru

Dominion Special Service, CHRISTCHURCH, July 27. Indications point to the combined meeting <it the South Canterbury and Chi'istchurclt Hunt Clubs, to be held on the Washdvke racecourse tomorrow, being successful in every way. Some good-class horses are engaged and the racing generally should huvo au important bearing on the forthcoming Grand National meeting. Several Grand National Steeplechase candidates will be seen in the two crosscountry- events, mid a large number of Winter Cup acceptors will contest the Claremont Handicap. Nine horses have dual engagemeuta and some of them will be paraded in both. Pink Clover aud Valcron will start In the Teschemaker Steeplechase and Test Pilot is to appear in both of hw engagements, the Hudlow Hack Hurdles and the I'arcora Hunters' Plate.
