Fire broke out in the premises of A. and AV. Smiths, Eid., High Street, Lower Hutt.- yesterday afternoon, and business was suspended for a short while. Two fire engines from the Hutt brigade were employed, and the fire was soon under control. Damage was slight. Asked in the Magistrates' ( ourr Ai elllngton, yesterday, why he bad eimngea his name.
