Caucus Of Parliamentary Members

A caucus of members of the Parliamentary Labour Barty, over which the Acting-Prime Minister, Mr. Nash, presided. was held yesterday. The caucus, which met in the morning and afternoon, will resume this morning. Resolutions were adopted expressing sympathy witli Mr. AV. J. Broadfoot, M.P. for AVaitomo, in the death of his wife; with Mr. P. Neilson, M.P. for Dunedin Central, in the death of his wife; with Mrs. Munro, in the death of her husband (Mr. J. IV. Munro. M.P. for Dunedin North), and with Mrs. Findlay in the death of Mr. F. Findlay, who was M.P. for Hamilton. Reference, was also made to Government members nt present on the sick list—the Hon. P. C. Webb (Minister of Mines), Messrs. R. Coulter (Raglan), C. H. Chapman (Wellington North), and T. P. Paikea (Northern Maori). Good wishes were extended to them and the hope expressed that they would soon recover their health and be back again in their places- in the House. Mr. Nash stated that caucus expressed pride in the groat work done by the Prime Minister. Mr. Fraser, at the United Nations Conference at 'San Francisco on behalf of all peace-loving nations and in particular ns representative, of New Zealand. A resolution embodying these sentiments was adopted.
