'The Rugby Union unbeaten “Wasps” team beat a New Zealahd Services team by 20 points to 9. The first half was I’airl.v even, both sides attackins in turn. Flying Officer G. Hewitt and Flight Lieutenant Grant each scored fine tries, giving the New Zealanders a one-point lend at half-time. The “AVasps” then obtained a field goal and two unconverted and one converted tries. The New Zealanders fought hard to overtake this lead, but the “AVasps” defence was very sound. Flying Officer A. Heydon finally forced his way across for a try, which was not converted.
