FAREWELL EVENING
Resigning Club Workers A tribute expressing deep appreciation was paid to two founder members of tne United Industries Girls’ Club on Sunday night, when members of the club gave a farewell evening to Mrs. DennistounWood and Mr. J. Annand-Smith, both of whom, it is greatly regretted, are resigning their positions, Mrs. DennistounWood as associate member, and Mr. J. Annand-Smith as director-trustee. Mrs. Doiniistoun-Wood has been an indefatigable Worker in the promotion of this project, and the financial spade work nas largely been in the hands of Mr. AnnandSmith. The evening tendered was an expression of spontaneous appreciation by the girls themselves, and the programme arranged showed that musical talents are .not lacking in industry. A small presentation was made to both Mrs. Dennis-toun-Wood and Mr. Annand-Smith. Both recipients urged the girls to stand by their club, and develop it to the fullest exent in the interests of their fellow workers and ,to put their finest effort into its future development.
