SERVICES PRODUCTION OF “THE GONDOLIERS”
There is to be another welcome return to Gilbert and Sullivan. Members of tiho armed services, now located in the Wellington area, are to stage a season of that delightful comic opera, “The Gondoliers,’ possibly toward the end of November. This performance will be musically directed by (Mr. Harry Brusey, whose work iu that capacity was amply demonstrated in the performance in March last of “The Pirates of Penzance” at the Technical College Assembly Hall. 'The cast of character's for these performances will be as follows: —Duke of Plaza Toro, Les Clements; Duchess of Plaza Toro, M. Robertson; Casllda, Lydia Fencll; Luiz, Ivan Bushell; Glanettn, N. Alexander; Tessa, R. Claughton; Flamctta, S. Carson: Vittoria, Ray Phillips; GulUa. E. Grav-Young; Don Alhambra del Bolero, M. King; Marco, Owen Bonlfant; Giuseppe, G. Verrail; Antonio, B. Westfield; Francesco, F. Ness; Giorgio, L. Clarke. The performances are being, given by the Armed Services Operatic Society, under the auspices of the A.E.W.S.
