The unusual distinction ot being piv moted to the rank of squadron leader at the age of 22 has been gained by !• light Lieutenant 11. N. Swcctman. D.l’.C., Auckland. Squadron Leader Swcctman is a very experienced lighter pilot who belongs 'to the New Zealand Tempest Squadron. He has made many operational flights ns a night lighter pilot, and more recently has been inen tinned as one of the most successful New Zealand airmen to be used for shooting down flying bombs.
