DANISH POLICE STILL RESIST
Fighting In Copenhagen
LONDON, September 21. Fighting' is going on in Copenhagen between Danish and German police. All the bridges have been barred between Copenhagen and Amager, which Js the island section of Copenhagen. German police are investigating anyone who passes. According to tlie free Danish Press service, clashes, some of whieh lasted for several hours, occurred mostly around the police stations. Many of the Danish police managed to escape from their would-be German captors. The German-controlled radio issued a denial that King Haakon is under arrest and stated that the King is in the palace under the protection of the usual Danish police guard. It was stated that nil the Copenhagen police stations are now nia.nned by. Gestapo agents, S.S. and Danish Nazis.
