General Freyberg’s Condition A cablegram which he has received from Mr. Churchill about the condition o£ Lieut.-General Sir Bernard Freyberg who was recently injured in an air crash in Italy was read by the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, in the House of Representatives last night. Mr. Churchill said that after the news of General Freyberg’s new injury he asked for a special report from General Sir Harold Alexander which he now torwarded to Mr. Fraser. General Alexander’s report, was as follows: — '•My consulting surgeon has seen General Freyberg and reports that his condition is good and that he expects he will be able to return to duty in one nioutn. Freyberg himself has telegraphed to say that he is getting on well and expects to be back with his division within the medical estimate.” Mu. Fraser said lie' wished also to convey to the House the Following message he had received from General Freyberg: “Your kindness in cabling a message of good wishes on behalf of Parliament and the people of Now Zealand is very deeply appreciated and I send my most grateful thanks.”
