Exhibition of reproductions and originals contained in a new collection of old masters and modern paintings. Also a display of recent acquisitions for the National Collection by New Zealand and overseas artists as well as’ paintings by early New Zealand ar--ISCeiitral Public Library. Extensive reference library, with separate commercial and technical department for engineering, business, trades, etc.; New Zealand and line arts section. Lending and children’s libraries. Zoo Newtown Park: Open 9 a.m. to 5 pm Lions, tigers, monkeys, camels and’doer; 1500 birds. Admission free to children under 15. Otari Open Air Plant Museum, one mile from Wudestown tram terminus. Open continuously. Typical New Zealand bush and native plants under natural conditions; complete collection of plants native to New Zealand; burial ground of Dr. Cockayne, famous New Zealand botanist. Admission free.
