ENCIRCLED GERMANS
Surrender Near Bordeaux (Received August 27, 9 P-™-) LONDON, August 26. The French authorities at Hendaye reported that 10,000 encircled Germans are being cut to pieces by French and American troops in the Belin region, 3 miles south of Bordeaux. T,ater Reuter’s Iran correspondent stated that the encircled Germans had surrendered, thus ending al German resistance in soulh-westein France.
