FOLEY Archibald 8.. Temp. Sub-Lieut. (A), R.N.Z.N.V.R.; Takapau, Hawke’s Bay’ Lance-Corporal J. R. Lamason Lance-Corporal J. R. Lamason, who has been wounded, is one of the best all-round athletes Wellington has ever produced He has represented Wellington at both cricket and Rugby football on many occa slons, and was captain of the Wellington representative cricket team, and sole selector for some years. He was a member of the New Zealand cricket team which toured England in 1937. At Rugby foot ball he placed as a forward for the Wellington College Old Boys’ team, nnd represented the province ou a number of occasions, being- renowned as an accurate goal-kicker. He married Miss I. Pickering. a New Zealand hockey and Wellington cricket representative. Lamason is a school teacher In civil life.
