CHARGE WITHDRAWN
It was reported on August S that Leo James Smith, barman, aged 5-1, was fined £25 in the Magistrates’ Court. Wellington. for being the occupier of premises used as a common gaming-house and tor carrying on business as a bookmaker. This was incorrect. Mr. Smith was fined £25 for carrying on business as a bookmaker, but the other charge was withdrawn.
