VICTORY CONCERT

The Victory Loan Campaign is to be opened with a concert (staged by arrangement with the National Broadcasting Service and Theatre Management Ltd.) in the Opera House on Monday, August 28. Artists include Mary Pratt, contralto (Dunedin), Henri Penn, pianist (Sydney) and Ken Macaulay, baritone. In addition, the N.B.S. Light Orchestra (leader, Vincent Aspey) and the 2YA Wireless Chorus will play under the baton of Gil Deeh (Dunedin). Proceeds will go to the Wellington Disabled Servicemen’s Be-estaibllshment League. The Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, qnd the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, will speak. Box plans are now open at the D.I.C.
