OBITUARY

Mr. William Fulton Mr. William Fulton, sole surviving member of his family, of “Auraki,” ,I‘tirapa'ra Road. Kakatahi, 33 miles from Wanganui, died recently. Born in Northern Ireland, Mr. Fnltin began farming on leaving school. . Arriving .in New Zealand iu 1805. he continued farming in riunterville.aml Main Trunk districts, and was also well known on the harvest fields of Canterbury and in Australia. In 1013 he bought a block of virgin bush country on Parapara Road, Kakatahi, which he broke iu and farmed most successfully, bis stock setting a high standard for tlie district. Some years ago he married Miss Christina Eleanor Benjamin, then matron of Belverdaie Private Hospital, Wanganui. Mr. Fulton was a keen horticulturist, and exhibited successfully at the Waimarino Agricultural and Pastoral Shows.
