Flight Lieutenant George IJeurling, T 1.5.0.. D.F.C.. D.F.M. and Bar. who lias shot down 32 enemy planes, mostly over Malta, is to be allowed at his own request to retire from the Canadian. Air Force. He asked permission to retire to facilitate his rehabilitation into civilian life. A report from Montreal states that he is considering offering his services to the Chinese Air Force.. He disliked the instructional work on which he was engaged ami did not relish the idea of commercial piloting which he dfseriued as' "truck driving.'’
