BOY SCOUT’S FUNERAL AT ROSENEATH
The funeral of Kenneth Alfred Thomas Broughton, aged 13. a Boy Scout and a chorister of St. Barnabas’ Church. Rosenenth, took place from the church on Saturday afternoon in the prpseneo of a large number of mourners. The elder son of Mr. Thomas Broughton, of the city traffic department, and Mrs. Broughton, ho had been seriously ill for some months and died on Thursday. The service at. the church, which was fully choral, was conducted by the vicar of Roseneath. the Rev. E. M. McLevie. mid was attended by the mayor. Mr. Appleton. the city -engineer, Mr. K. E. Luke, many uniformed members of (he traffic department, and the Roseneat h Troop of Boy Scouts, six of whom acted as pallhearers. The coffin boro the boy sen nt s’ insignia, and if was preceded by a scouts guard of honour part of (he way from the church. Wreaths and other flowers massed in the chancel of the church, many from young friends of the lad. testified to his wide popularity.
