Mr. Hogan To Woollen Mill

A new manpower direction had been issued to hint within 24 hours of the dismissal of Hie prosecution against him for failing to obey a former direction, said Mr. John Hogan at a public meeting at the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt, yesterday, lie said the new direction was worded witli extraordinary care even to tlie extent of altering the,usual printed wording. It directed him_“to report for engagement in work with the Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., at tlie company’s woollen mills at Hutt Road. I’etone, at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 1944, as factory worker. Note: This direction replaces the direction issued to you on March 24, 1944, which is hereby withdrawn.” Mr. Hogan said he would appeal against this direction.
