Wild Cats.
The robin was once plentiful in the Okuru, Westland, district, says "Forest and Bird.” But many years ago a large number of settlers arrived and when they left some time later a number of eats wore left behind. These cats became wild and played havoc with the birds of the bush. Today descendants of these cats abound in the district.
