GUARANTEED PRICES TO

BRITISH FARMERS (By Telegraph.—Press 4ssn.—Copyright) (Special Correspondent.) LONDON. May 26. Guaranteed prices for milk and butter have been promised the British farmer by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Hudson. In a statement in the House of Commons. he said that the Government had decided to guarantee to the producers of milk, fat cattle, calves, sheep and lambs an assured market for their whole output of milk and meat during the four years up to the summer of 1948 at price levels no less than those at present prevailing, but excluding the special milk bonus paid for the current year. It is believed that the announcement means stabilization of the industry, and that every effort will be made to increase production.
