The Trentham team for the Wanganui 'winter meeting next Monday will comprise nine horses. P. Burcess’s stable will be represented bv '.Mouton Lad, Flahiiluk, Maharajah, Foreign Coin and First Round, all of whom will be ridden by J. Garth. P. Reardon is sending Irish Chance and Arctic Night, who will be ridden by A. C. Messervy. The team is completed by Lord Darnlev, whose rider will be V. J. Sellars, and The Monarch, who will be ridden by T. Biggs. The Trentham team will be floated the first 30 miles of the trip to Marton and will '-alk the balance of the distance. More for Awapuiil. The team will be reinforced lor the two days’ racing at Awapuni on June 10 and 17. when the Manawatu Racing Club will hold its winter meeting ai d a patriotic day. Nanook and Home Rule are novice hurdlers who are being educated at Trentham. Nanook who Is trained by A. Goodman for Mr. T. Fisher, Upper Hutt, is a small four-year-old gelding by P° X !&V V’ 0 ? 1 AVarstar. a descendant of the Hilda family. and in his schooling to. date he has shown natural aptitude tor jumping. He has had only one race so far in a maiden event at the Inst Ot.ikl meeting. Home Rule is u four-year-old gelding by Hunting Sous from Tipperary Girl, trained by P. ReaTdou for Mr. S. J. Newland Mellington. Ho has not lived up to early promise, his only success being recorded in a maiden race al Blenheim last autumn, tie is a hard-pulling customer, inclined to recklessness in what schooling he has hat* so far.

The report that ho is to go on to Hastings later to be trained is not correct. He will be trained for his new owner by Sager, at Trentham. Kelmont Sold. Bridge Acre’s Brother. Of the several rising .two-year-olds being prepared at. Trentham, none is <lomg better than Bridge Acre’s brother, Al-birat, who is in A. Goodman's team. So tar lie has done little more than, half-pacework, but he is thriving on it and developing into a pleasing type. He ifi bigger and more solidly-built than his sister, but shows plenty of quality and moves with a very easy action. Team Divided. tt *Tal On account of labour shortage 11. TeK ford was unable to accommodate all the horses Mr. P. Louis brought down from Hastings, and Blue Bonny and Note Raid have been taken over by' E. J. Adams. Telford fins been indisposed for the past three weeks, but was about again on Saturday.
Located at Awapuni. Gyration, the yearling brother to Barrage, and Gynee Lou, a Gynerlum filly, bought at the national sales by Mi. F. H Bustin and Mrs. Bustin respectively, have gone into Awapuni stable to be trained, Gyration being with J. J. Baller aud the filly with R. Beale. Waller also has taken over Mr. Bustin’s rising four-year-old Good Earth (Grey Honour—Day Laid, by Day Comet), who is to be educated for hurdle racing.
