Waterside Win Again
Waterside retained tlieir lead for' the first division Wellington Association football championship- bv defeating Comrades decisively on Saturday afternoon. Teams now have points as follows for the Venus Shield: Waterside 10, Hospital 8. Moera Stop Out 7, Hallways 4, Lower Hutt 4, Comrades 3, Marist 3, Technical Old Boys 1. The games were played in misty rain carried on a high southerly. Following are the results of first division games :— Venus Shield. Waterside 6. Comrades 1. —Mildeuhall (2), Lougbottom, Walker, Watts and Traynor scored for Waterside) and Deslandes for Comrades. Moera Sion Out 3, Technical Old Boys 2. —Laracy, Claridge and Singer scored for Moera Stop Ont, and Upchurch, jun., and Christopherson for Technical Old Boys. Hospital 3, Railways 1. —Lawlor (2) and Marshall scored for Hospital, and Leighton for Railways. Lower Hutt 3. Marist I.—'McArdle (2) and Preece scored for Lower Hutt, and Irvine for Marist. Power Cup. Seatoun 5, Petone Technical Old Boys 2. —Cullen, Woods, Yeoman, Hall and Jenkins scored for Seatoun, and Sims and Duncan for Petone Technical Old Boys. Railways 2, Petone 2. —Gillespie and Woods scored for Railways, and B. Thompson (2) for Petoue. , Moera Stop Out 4, Army 3.—Barker.' Haniaiiugton, McLellan and Patterson scored for Moera Stop Out. and Allen scored all Army's goals. Training College ii. Varsity 5. —For training College Ro’binson (3), Hoare, B. Smith and Bateup scored, and for Varsity Walls (2), Swillburn, Dickson and Hayman.
