DUKE OF WINDSOR
(Received May 21. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 20. 'Phe Washington correspondent of the “New York Post” stated yesterday that the Duke of Windsor had resigned the Governorship of the Bahamas and would seek American citizenship. The British Colonial Office spokesman in London said: “We have no knowledge whatever of the Duke of Windsor’s reported resignalion.’’ Captain George Wood, the Duke’ei aid-*, interviewed 'by a Nassau correspondent, said: “I cannot speak for the Duke of Windsor, who is touring the islands and cannot be reached, but there is no indication here of his retirement. I cannot imagine there is any foundation whatsoever for the reports.”
