BALL-BEARING SHORTAGE
Advice has been received by the Ministry of Supply from the United Production Board, dated March J. to the effect that distress stocks of balbbearings ihave been used in the United States to meet requirements for electric motors for the naval landing-craft programme. Navy officials have indicated that heavy demands for spare equipment could be anticipated, and the industry was instructisl to arrange production facilities to handle the calls without delay.
