COW PRODUCTION

Average Returns Wanted

“This is the fourth season in which the board has appealed to dairy companies to supply returns in connexion with the effective average production a cow for the Dominion,” said the technical adviser to the New Zealand Dairy Board, Mr. A. H. Ward, in a recent report. “The. results of this work for the past 'three years have proved, of very considerable benefit to the industry in all negotiations that have been carried out in recent years. It is safe to say that, from an industry point of view, this information has been, and is likely to be. among the most important statistical data collected. "Unfortunately, a small number of dairy companies still refuse to co-operate. This is to their own disadvantage and to that of the industry., and particularly so at a time when detailed and accurate information of this nature can be of such great benefit in seeking a solution of the industry’s problems.”
