SYDNEY. x\pril 6. Divmrecs reached a record tigliro in New Sonlh Wales last year, when the number of petitions lodged showed an increase of (il I’<t eent - compared with 1939, the last pre-war year. The figures released by the Government Statistician, revealed that there were 3514 petitions last year, an increase of 144-1 over 1939. They also show diac the danger years for marriage are from the fifth to the ninth. Childless and Otte-child marriages fail more often than marriages resulting in larger families.
