MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS AND LOAN POLLS IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CITIZENS OF WELLINGTON The recently enactcrl Loitil Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1944, makes it COMPULSORY to ENROL on (lie Municipal Roll (District Electors Roll) before 5 p.m. on Saturday, the 29tli April, 1044. The Supplementary Roll will close punctually, and the completed forms of claim for enrolment must be IN MY HANDS by that time; forms sent by post must be posted before last postal collection on the 28th April. All persons must enrol who are British Subjects, twenty-one years of age, have resided one year in New Zealand and have resided (permanent homo) in Wellington for the three months last past or who have served outside New Zealand in connection with tile present war witii His Majesty’s Naval, Military or Air Forces, or In any British Ship which was not a home-trade ship within the meaning of the Shipping Seamen Act, 1908, and are residing in the City. ( Persons failing to enrol will be liable to penalties as set out In The Act. The Main Rolls may be inspected at the places .mentioned below, and forms of “Claims for enrolment” may be obtained from all ot those places except the Post Offices.
