ALLEGED THREAT WITH RAZOR
Taxi Driver’s Experience
“We are two tough guys and we will show you cab-drivers how we can operate," were words alleged to have been used by one of two sailors to a Wellington taxi-driver whom the pair had hired to take them to an address in jlawkstone Street on Wednesday night. With this short address, it is alleged, the sailor suited action to his words and produced a razor which he wiped round the driver's throat, adding: “1 would as soon slit your throat as a Japanese.” The incident is reported Io have occurred in Tinakori Hoad shortly after 8 p.m.. following an accusation by the sailor that he was being taken on a longer trill than necessary. Ido renewed the threat, when he reached his destination, but paid his fare.
It is reported that as a consequence a man was arrested alter inquiries had been made,.
