Topweight for the Herries Memorial Cup at the Te Aroha meeting tomorrow is Neenah, who has proved himself among the Dominion's best sprinters to date. Neenah has never contested a middle distance handicap, but he is bred to run the distance of tomorrow’s contest, being by Foxbridge from Quinkama, by Quin Abbey from Kakaina, by Soiilt from ’Winsome, by Cuirassier, and there is a strong body of opinion in the north which believes Neenah only requires the opportunity to prove himself as a middle distance performer. He showed that he is in good form by winning last time out over a sprint course carrying 9.6. Electric Toto nt New Plymouth. Patrons of the 'Taranaki Jockey Club’s cup meeting at New Plymouth on Saturday will have the convenience of the electric totalizator for the first time.
