FINAL BLOW AGAINST JAPAN
Time Ripe For Attack
(Received February 15, 10.30 p.m.) CHUNGKING, February IS. Commenting on General Stilwell’s appeal for increased supplies, the Central Daily News says that the time is ripe for an attack against Japan from all sides. A long stride was made with the occupation of the Marshalls, but counterattacking forces must be strengthened from the Asiatic mainland. Only attack from there can divert Japanese forces from defending the Pacific islands and give the enemy a final tilow. On the other hand, if the enemy can prevent the liaison of Chinese and American forces, Japan would never be defeated.
