If the weather proves kindly there should be a large attendance at the Basin Reserve this afternoon to see what may be one of the most important matches plaved this season in the AA’ellington Cricket Association’s senior championship competition. This will be the game between the Hutt eleven, who have won every one of the nine matches they have played, and Kilbirnie. who also have an unbeaten record. though they were held to a tie by ■Karori in the first series of. games. Both teams have an eight-point win to their credit but Kilbirine is leading by four points for the championship, with o2 points, while Hutt, who are in second place, with 48 points, still have one more game to play, as they had to stand down for a bye earlier in the series. a *” ternoon’s jrame should !be well worth seeing. as both'teams are strong -both m batting and bowling. Play will start at 1.00 n.m.. and an addlt’onal attraction on the same ground will be the match 'between the -Wellington College Old Boys and University senior elevens.
