The special report from Argentina which was received by the State Department, predicts that Argentina, swollen by her own inqwrtance, and egged on by Nazi troublemakers, will become the future Balkans of the world by plunging oilier countries into war in an effort to retrieve her traditional leadership in South America, says the New York “World-Telegram.” Argentina is at present arming herselt as rapidly as possible. Deals have been made with the famous Fascist Austrian munitions manufacturer, Fritz Mandi, who is now in Argentina, which mean systematic preparation for future war. Moreover, Argentina hopes that the politically unstable republics of Paraguay and Chile will swing into the antiAmerican bloc, as has already been done by Bolivia.The report states that even democratic Uruguay has a group of extreme reactionaries, known as Herreristas. if plotting fails, incidents such as. were, claimed in Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Manchuria will be easily arranged. The report alleges that Argentina has shown herself in a thousand large and small ways definitely pledged to harass the United Nations. Many Argentinn citizens consider the present regime is controlled directly from Berlin as surely as if the Swastika flew over Buenos Aires.
