Dredge returns for the first half of January werCt Barrytown, 2680 z. for 191 hours and 70,000 yards; Kanieri, 2640 z. for 216 hours and 82,000 yards; Arahura, 5170 z. for 241 hours and 131,000 hours. Slab Hut Creek Gold Dredging Co., Ltd., return for the week ended January 15, 1044, was 30oz. from 24,255 yards in 163 hours. Gillespies Beach vyash up was 71oz. for 166 hours from 17,666 cubic yards. Associated Gold Dredges return for the week ended January 15 was 102 oz. from 65,120 yards handled in 284 dredging hours. N.Z. Refrigerating Co. The annual accounts Of the New Zealand Refrigerating Co., Ltd., which will be posted to shareholders shortly will show an amount of £86,130 available for appropriation, including £38,712 brought forward from last year. The directors recommend a dividend of 5i per cent., an addition to the rebuilding reserve of £12,000, and the carrying forward of £30,142. Transfer books will be closed for dividend purposes from January 31 to February 10, both days inclusive. The dividend Is payable approximately on February 21.
