The weather has been close today with a threat of rain, and the outlook is doubtful for the Avondale Jockey Club’s second spring meeting at Ellerslie tomorrow. The course is in great order aud the going should be excellent unless there is rain. Goodfields are engaged, and provision has been made for divisions in several races.
