The Auckland union advised the htanatreinent committee of the .Wellington Rue,bv Union last 1 night that the Auckland team to play Wellington at on Saturday would consist, of 18 and a manager. Mr. F. W. i/iicas, mu Auckland sole selector, would accompany the team at the Auckland union s expense. “The Auckland-Wellington match at Auckland ” the letter elated. ‘ was thoroughly enjoyed bv the largest attendance present at a’matcb at Auckland since the outbreak Of Mes“rk J. D. King and F -I. Tilyard were appointed stewards for the Wellington team, and Father T Cleary and Mr IT Murphy were appointed to look alter the interests of the Auckland team. Permission was granted to the Eastbourne and Air Force teams to send senior and junior teams to .compete in the seven-a-side tournament at Palmerston North on Saturday next.
