Two Nights In Wellington
The reputation the Kiwi concert party of soldier-entertainers gained in the Middle East has 1)0611 heartily endorsed by all who have had the pleasure of seeing and hearing them in New. Zealand. They were originally to have given four shows in the Grand Opera House, Wellington, but due .to pressing engagements this has been cut down to two nights only, October 7 and S. The plans for these two performances, to be given in aid of the Metropolitan Patriotic Council’s fund, were opened on Monday and in less than two hours the houses were fully booked. The Patriotic Council, \ . Ward, has arranged to take the Kiwis on a trip to Otaki on Thursday, October <• They will be welcomed by the mayor of the town, and entertained by the Maoris of the district. Their initial welcome in Wellington will be at the.A.N.A. Club on October 5, when they will be entertained at a supper and dance, and the mayor, M'r. Hislop, will extend to these war-time troupers an official welcome to the city.
