ELECTION ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS THANK YOU. I WISH to thank all those who helped me in my recent candidature and all those who voted for me. The fight for Inspired leadership and true progress in New Zealand will go on, I know, in other directions. My laitli in the Labour Movement is still unchanged. I believe still that it will find great leadership somewhere within itself, and that it will then go forward again, content no longer to rest on the greatness ot its past achievements. I hope, therefore, that what the people of Wellington Central refrained from doing on Saturday last, the Labour Movement will now do itself—before apathy and lack of confidence among the people bring further eclipse to a Government which has now lost some of its most progressive members. Meanwhile. I am ready always to help any forward movement, in New Zealand which is for the welfare of the people. C. G. SCRIMGEOUR. GENERAL ELECTION. TO THE ELECTORS OF WELLINGTON SOUTH.
