Traffic Lights And Petrol
Sir, —May I draw attention! to the cause of considerable waste of time and. petrol, namely, the automatic signalling device on the Customhouse Quay, Queen s Wharf, crossing? Every day one sees scores of vehicles pulling up on eacn change of light, waiting for the almost non-existent traffic from the wharf. Could not these signals, be cut out, or used only at certain limited necessary times? —I am, etc., PETROL. Wellington, September 28.
