Mr. Holland’s Appeal Dominion Special Service. CHRISTCHURCH, September 23. The following statement on the election contest in Palmerston North-was made by the Leader of the National Party, Mr. Holland, today:— “In view of Mr. Mansford’s public announcement that, he will, while maintaining an independent attitude, give general support to the National. Party’s policy, and in view of the fact that the National Party has not nominated an official candidate for the Palmerston North seat, I urge all supporters of the National Party to support Mr. Mansford on election day.”
