APPRENTICE SUSPENDED

(By St. Simon.) A .indiciaJ inquiry was held at Marton on Saturday into Auto Ute falling soon after turning into the straight during the running of the Flying Handicap. After hearing evidence Hie stewards found that V. J. Sellars, rider of Black Robe, had committed an error of judgment which amounted to careless riding. In view of the good account given by the stipendiary steward, Mr. B. N. Sandilands, of. Sellars’ conduct since holding a licence, and his candour in giving evidence, the stewards decided to impose only one month’s suspension. Sellars was permitted to fulfil his engagements on Saturday.
