A statement that additional trucks hud been obtained by the State coal yards xor delivery purposes in Wellington was made yesterday by the Minister of Mmes, Mr. Webb An appeal had also been made to the Controller of Manpower to release drivers, carriers and fillers from the Army to meet the requirements or the State coal depot. The delivery ot the coal up the hills, specially tn a city like Wellington, requires strong men, and he was hoping that, it would be possible .or the controller to release a sufficient number of such men to cope with the situation.
