Four separate petitions signed by PS Auckland residents praying for the immediate repeal of the Transport Control Emergency Regulations in respect of the taxi services in Auckland and the abrogation of appeals to the Licensing Authority, were presented in the House of Representatives yesterday. They were in identical language and there was much laughter as four members. Messrs. Richards (Roskill). Doidge (Taurangat, P. Carr (Auckland West.) -and Osborne (Onehiinga) presented the petitions and used the same formal phrases.
